Assistant Distiller & Production
QUALIFICATIONS
-
1 - 2 years of production experience.
-
Understanding of brewing & distillation.

A genuine interest in small-batch distilling, botanicals, sourcing local ingredients, and consistently producing only the highest quality products.

Understanding of distilling and brewing science, and a working knowledge of the equipment and systems that go along with it with an emphasis on practical brewing/distilling techniques aimed at quality, consistency, and flavour.

Super-organized and clean.

Hard-working

Self-motivated and great at problem-solving. Must be comfortable independently starting, managing, and finishing projects.

Eagle eye on overall quality from grain to finished product.

Compliant with in-house and all national and industry safety regulations.

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and be on your feet most of the time.

Drive and passion to continually cultivate your craft through experience, research, and education.

Can operate forklift (or willing to learn).
DUTIES
-
Maintaining and coordinating daily operations at the distillery with Distiller and operations staff.

Working as a team member to facilitate a streamlined, creative, and functional atmosphere.

Milling, mashing, distilling.
-
Ensuring the distillery is squeaky clean, organized, and looking its best at all times.

Completing all daily cleaning duties (mopping, sweeping, cleaning the pot, etc).

Hand Sanitizer production.

Updating distillery log as needed (must be able to use spreadsheets).

Maintaining inventory.

Interacting with the public, assisting with walk-in & curbside pickup sales.

Assisting the team with deliveries and picking up supplies as needed.

General maintenance around the distillery. If you’re good at fixing stuff, that’s a huge bonus!

Daily bottleshop cashout, restock, etc.
DETAILS
Afternoon & evening shifts, roughly from 2 pm to 8 pm Tuesday to Friday, and 12 - 6 pm on Saturdays each week. Immediate start.
