Farmers' Market Sales Representative

Do you have a keen interest in the local spirit, brewery, and food movement? We're looking for an energetic, smart, out-going, friendly and responsible Sales Associates to work at our bustling Farmers' Market stand!
  • Have a keen interest in small-batch distilling/cocktail culture and/or the local food movement.

  • Must be able to talk spirits with glee.

  • Positive attitude with serious attention to detail.

  • Have no problem getting up super early on weekends (the market day usually begins Saturday and Sunday at 7 am).

  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions (rain, shine, or snowy weather).

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of the day.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and educate them about Strathcona Spirits Distillery.

  • Available to commit to working weekends.

  • Previous sales experience is superb, bonus points if you've worked at a farmers' market before.

  • Must have Proserve and a valid driver's license.

Duties include: Picking everything up from the distillery early morning on Saturday or Sunday, unloading, setting up the booth at the market, selling the product, chatting with customers, counting inventory, managing the cashout, as well as breaking everything down and returning it to the distillery.

Assistant Distiller
Part-Time | Edmonton, Alberta
  • A genuine interest in small-batch distilling, botanicals, sourcing local ingredients, and the local food movement.

  • Must have distillery or brewery experience. 

  • Compliant with in-house and all national and industry safety regulations.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and feel comfortable being active most of the day.

  • Understand that this is a very labour intensive position, sometimes with long hours.

  • Drive and passion to continually cultivate your craft through experience, research, and education.



  • Work with our Head Distillery to facilitate a streamlined, creative, and functional atmosphere.

  • Be able to meticulously record measurements and convey this information through spreadsheets to the rest of the production team.

  • Enjoy sharing your knowledge and love of distillation with customers, peers, or anyone else that comes into the distillery.

  • Self-motivated and great at problem-solving. Must be comfortable independently starting, managing and finishing projects.

  • Provide insights, research, and guidance on developing new products.

  • Milling, mashing, distilling.

  • Ensuring the distillery is squeaky clean, organized, and always looking its best.

  • Meticulously maintain an inventory of all product and supplies.

  • Chat with customers, peers, or anyone else that comes into the distillery while production is occurring.

  • Assist with walk-in sales & tastings.

  • General maintenance around the distillery.

This position will begin at 2 - 3 days a week with opportunity to move into full-time hours long-term.
