  • Someone who loves and really gets the Strathcona Spirits brand and wants to see it continue to evolve. 

  • A confident communicator. You can easily distill information and deliver it efficiently and with a smile.

  • Comfortable designing and editing Mailchimp campaigns with very little guidance and editing. 

  • Ability to work on the fly and turn things around quickly when needed.

  • An eye for design and stunning high-quality photography. A pixelated or poorly edited photo will keep you up at night.

  • Appreciation of quality ingredients, craftsmanship, and beautifully made spirits.

  • Social media savvy. You have a firm understanding of the major platforms and how to strategically use them to tell our story. Specifically: Insta, Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook, and whatever else the kids are using these days.

  • Strong writing skills for digital content creation including social media, newsletters, websites, and more.

  • Calm and collected. You carry yourself well, have fun, but know when to be professional.

  • You’re not afraid to pick up the phone to make something happen.

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and can adapt and thrive in an ever-changing industry.

  • Not afraid to ask questions.

  • You show up at every meeting with a notebook, calendar, and pen in-hand

  • Strong at finishing projects.



  • Increase sales

  • Provide concise data and reports to illustrate link between ads, email marketing, social media, and online sales.

  • Create a bi-monthly social media calendar and go over it with the Owner.

  • Strategize, design, prepare and schedule all social media campaigns leading up to new product launches.

  • Manage all day-to-day social media channels, this includes daily publishing Stories & TikTok videos in a genuine and creative way.

  • Create, design, automate, and send out email marketing to multiple email lists using Mailchimp.

  • Liaise with the team on a daily basis to find out what’s happening around the distillery to create genuine content that assists in sharing our story with our customers that maintain the quality of our brand.

  • Design print materials when needed.

  • Ability to respond to customer inquiries, questions, and concerns through social media and the website.

  • Working knowledge of ecommerce websites ex. Wix, Square, Mailchimp, Buffer, etc.

  • Create ecommerce ads, optimization, tracking online sales, and reporting.

  • Bring fresh, new, marketing and campaign ideas to the table for team brainstorming.


  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Communications & Digital Marketing

  • Experience with all major social media platforms, and keen to get on new ones (please provide examples with your resume).

  • Comfortable using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.

  • Experience using Mailchimp automation.

  • Proven writing skills that show an ability to write concisely and thoughtfully.

  • Capable of taking beautiful photos for social media when needed.

  • Ability to create manage Facebook and Google ads

  • Basic understanding of SEO
