Bottleshop Sales & Distillery Guide

Do you have a keen interest in the local spirit, brewery, and food movement? We're looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable person to work at our bottleshop part-time!

​

 

QUALIFICATIONS

​

• Interested in small-batch distilling/cocktail culture and/or the local food movement.

• Must be able to talk spirits with glee.

• Must have a basic understanding of the art of distillation. 

• Must love chatting with customers. 

• Positive attitude with serious attention to detail.

• Super reliable.

• Able to manage our online sales, ship, do the odd delivery, and take care of things on the front end. 

• Ability to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of the day.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and educate them about Strathcona Spirits Distillery.

• Self-motivated, super tidy, and organized.

• Must have Proserve and valid drivers license.

DUTIES

​

• Keep bottleshop looking spiffy, clean, and super organized

• Manage online orders, pack up, and ship out. 

• Provide tastings to customers, share information about the distillery. 

• Assist and eventually provide entertaining but education tours to our many visitors.

• Do extra cleaning around the distillery whenever possible. 

• Help out production whenever needed, this includes bottlings, extra work around the holidays, etc. 

• Sometimes work special events, Farmers’ Markets, or provide tastings on premise.
